No, you don't have to upgrade Xenko if you don't want to. However, we recommend you upgrade to benefit from new features and bug fixes. Xenko automatically upgrades your code and assets when you open a project in a new version. In the case of important API changes, upgrading Xenko might break your application. We recommend you make a backup of your project before upgrading it.
